Mamta Kulkarni, a former Bollywood actress, has stirred controversy by stepping into the spiritual spotlight as the newly appointed Mahamandleshwar of the Kinnar Akhada during the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. While this unexpected development has intrigued many, it hasn’t been without backlash. Jagatguru Mahamandleshwar Himangi Sakhi, a respected figure in the Kinnar Akhada, didn’t hold back her criticism. She was even jailed for her alleged involvement in drug-related cases. Now, she’s suddenly given this title? This raises serious questions about ethics and the message being sent to society.”

Himangi Sakhi, for one, has urged a deeper investigation into the decision, questioning whether it was made for the right reasons or simply for publicity.
