Mahindra has introduced the updated XUV 3XO in India and now in international markets like Australia. This compact SUV is making news for its stylish design, strong engine options, modern features, and upcoming electric and hybrid models. On 4th July 2025, Mahindra officially launched the vehicle in Australia with two variants. The company is also preparing to launch EV, hybrid, and flex-fuel versions in India.
Bold New Design
The XUV 3XO has a sportier look than the older XUV300. It comes with C-shaped LED DRLs, projector headlamps, chrome details, black roof rails, and diamond-cut alloy wheels. It gives a tough and premium look from the outside.
Inside the cabin, the SUV offers dual-tone soft-touch materials, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and digital instrument cluster. It also has dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, and a 360-degree camera.
The top variants come with ADAS Level-2 features. These include lane assist, auto emergency braking, blind spot alert, and adaptive cruise control.

Upcoming XUV 3XO EV
Mahindra is testing the electric version of the XUV 3XO. It is expected to launch in early 2025.
The EV version looks almost like the petrol model but has some changes. It comes with a closed front grille, aero wheels, and copper interior accents.
It may have two battery options:
- 34.5 kWh with ~375 km range (ARAI)
- 39.4 kWh with ~456 km range (ARAI)
Features like ADAS, dual 10.25-inch screens, sunroof, six airbags, and wireless charging are expected.
Flex-Fuel and Hybrid Models
Mahindra has also revealed a Flex-Fuel edition of the XUV 3XO. It runs on E20 to E85 ethanol mix. The engine is the same 1.2-litre turbo petrol. It produces around 109 bhp and 200 Nm. This model may help reduce fuel costs and pollution.
A hybrid version is also under development. It will combine the petrol engine with an electric motor. This will help improve fuel efficiency and lower emissions.

- AX5L: 16-inch wheels, cooled glove box
