Inside the Life of Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei

Meet the man who is steering the Iranian ship: Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme Leader. The position he holds determines national and international policies.

Khamenei was born on July 17th, 1939, in a religious family in Mashhad city in Iran. His course in theology set the stage for what he was going to be in the future.

Khamenei joined the political activism against the Shah in the 1960 s. He was able quickly to progress in the ranks after the 1979 revolution.

Khamenei became a Supreme Leader in Iran in 1989 after the death of Ayatollah Khomeini and controls the top of all branches of government.

The leadership by khamenei has been marked by anti-West especially the U.S nature or policies taken this country. Its characteristic policies are based on defiance and sustainment.

Iranians have protested, rebelled, and sanctions and more importantly internal dissent under his presidency, but I stand before you the picture of stability and order, Khamenei.

With regard to relations with other countries, Khamenei has more influence over Iran’s foreign policy, which favours the support of allies in the region such as Hezbollah.

Being in a certain way a charismatic leader, like him people can be divided into active followers and adamant opponents. The remarks he has made will continue to inform the direction of the country over the following few years.

It is for this reason that; today Ayatollah Ali Khamenei continues to be a political and social power broker in Iran. Detailed knowledge of his life and policies is necessary to comprehend the situation in Iran of today.
